ABOUT SOLAR FLAIR STUDIO

Solar Flair Gallery which represented over 20 artists, closed in June 2005.

Now, owner Rosemary Butterbaugh, offers her work from Solar Flair Studio.

Like the Gallery, The Studio is in the charming downtown area of Rising Sun. Since a working studio requires an artist to perform many roles, call or email before you vist at 417 S. Poplar St., Rising Sun IN 47040, so that we can set up a mutually agreeable time.

Starting in March, 2006, Solar Flair Studio will open in conjunction with special Rising Sun First Friday/First Saturday Open House schedule.

The STUDIO is on the property of a brick home built during the Civil war. Both house and studio overlook the Ohio River and the Kentucky hills beyond. The 3/4 acre property has large lawn and gardens which are available for plein air painters. The house is in process of being rebuilt and not open.

The STUDIO is equippped with necessary equipment and supplies for watercolor, acrylic, collage and monotype, and includes a Pollymetaal Etching Press. The Studio can accommodate a monotype class of 4 students or 6 students in other media.

Classes and Workshops can be arranged at The Studio or at your site.
